I am a Netherlands-based multidisciplinary artist. In my practice, I combine my educational background in performance art (MA ArtEZ University of Arts, 2022) and Futures Studies (MA University of Turku, 2016) and my work background in creative consultancy and dancing. In my recent work and artistic research, I have dealt with manhood, work-related exhaustion, and the urgency to change living habits about the climate crisis through text, movement, and video.
As a dancer and mover, I have over 20 years of experience in breakdance and modern dance. For example, I am three times Finnish Champion in breakdance. I have performed and worked in Reija Wäre’s dance collective from 2014-2016 and made dance productions in theaters and on TV. I created my performances with the Vapaa Aika collective and performed at the URB festival in Helsinki in 2013 and 2016. Recently I finished a residency at Tero Saarinen Company in Helsinki with the newly formed YUMI collective. In my MA program in ArtEZ, I was mentored by Katie Duck, Pilvi Porkola, and Joao Da Silva.
I am also an experienced project manager and cross-disciplinary collaboration facilitator. I have applied artistic methods in organization and service development in creative consultancy. For example, I co-created the FUTUARTS concept with Arts Promotion Center Finland, in which future researchers and artists formed a working pair to enable professional cross-disciplinary exchange and dialogue.
